The theme of this year’s Urban Mobility Days was Moving people and goods more sustainably.
More than 70% of Europeans live in cities, and urban areas account for around 23% of EU greenhouse gas emissions from transport. At the same time, European cities have some of the most innovative solutions for passenger and freight transit.
Urban Mobility Days looked at sustainable urban mobility, examining these key challenges while also presenting solutions.
Several LIFE Programme projects presented their results at the three-day event, with others were also expected to participate:
- LIFE ASPIRE - Advanced logistics platform with road pricing and access criteria to improve urban environment and mobility of goods
- H2020 NOEMIX - The new model of fleet management for public authorities
