The Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for Energy is the EU funding programme to implement the Trans-European Networks for Energy policy. It aims at supporting investments in building new cross-border energy infrastructure in Europe or rehabilitating and upgrading the existing one.
The Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for Transport is the funding instrument to realise European transport infrastructure policy. It aims at supporting investments in building new transport infrastructure in Europe or rehabilitating and upgrading the existing one.
The CEF Digital portion is managed by the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA).

A new call for proposals has been launched today under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) programme for Energy, making available €1 million to support preparatory studies for projects before they are included in the Union list of cross-border renewable energy projects.
Transport: €7 billion for key infrastructure projects: key missing links & green transport
The first call under the Connecting Europe Facility Energy programme for the period 2021-2027 has just been published by CINEA. It addresses studies and works for Projects of Common Interest (PCIs) in the field of trans-European energy infrastructure.
CINEA organises a virtual Info Day on 28 September to outline the main aspects of 2021 Connecting Europe Facility call for proposals for prefeasibility studies for cross-border renewable energy projects.
