Description
Ecomondo 2023 provides a platform for industry leaders, stakeholders, policymakers, opinion leaders and local authorities to gather and engage meaningfully. It plays a significant role in organising the key elements that shape the development strategies of the European Union's environmental policy.
This year, four European Executive Agencies of the European Commission (CINEA, EISMEA, REA and HaDEA) jointly participated in Ecomondo 2023 for the first time. They shared an exhibition stand in the South Hall, providing an opportunity for attendees to learn about the latest European calls for proposals and discover companies with successful projects contributing to the circular economy.
Additionally, LIFE Programme representatives and three LIFE projects were present as well, advancing the event's discussions:
LIFE projects at Ecomondo 2023
LIFE ALFIO - reducing the environmental and health risks posed by toxic chemicals in paint and coating formulations.
LIFE Green Factory - improving air quality on factory floors using an operational pilot plant air purification system, the Green Factory.
LIFE STEAM - transforming low-value lignocellulosic green waste into high-value biofuels for the transport sector and fertilisers.
LIFE MUSCLES - reducing the environmental impact of Polypropylene socks used for mussel farming by developing and promoting a more sustainable production value chain.
