European Maritime Day 2024

This event has ended.

This year’s edition of the European Maritime Day (EMD) took place in Svendborg (Denmark) on 30 and 31 May 2024.

The EMD is the place where ‘Ocean Leaders Meet’. It provides an inspiring framework to discuss the latest developments in the blue economy and the marine environment. The EMD boasts inspirational speeches, thematic sessions, workshops, pitching sessions, an Awards Ceremony and more.

CINEA took part with several activities.

Description

CINEA was present at the European Stand where visitors were able to learn more about the European funding opportunities and initiatives in the blue economy. Sixteen project beneficiaries presented their innovative results at the Stand.

CINEA also organised the following workshop and pitching sessions:

Pitch Session 4 - Supporting the Greening of the Maritime Sector: Project examples from CINEA managed programmes in Denmark – 30 May from 16:45 to 17:30 (CEST)
Pitch Session 7 - Advancing Blue careers for a sustainable blue economy: Innovative Approaches – 31 May from 11:45 to 12:30 (CEST)

Businesses, governments, public institutions, NGOs, academia and EU citizens interested in the sea were invited to take part in the numerous activities organised during the two-day conference.
