The U-ELCOME project, involving 51 partners and taking place in three European countries, aims to support the implementation of services for the safe and secure integration of drones, proposing services related to transport of goods and people as well as surveillance of infrastructure and natural environments.
U-ELCOME has already started performing a series of tests and demonstrations in various operational environments across 15 locations in Spain, Italy and France. By 2025 it will be safe to perform regular drone operations in those countries and the aim is to replicate the framework in the rest of Europe as of 2026. For this reason, the project is working in close cooperation with EASA and other national and international authorities to consolidated the standardisation and regulatory requirements of the proposed services to further accelerate their deployment.
U-ELCOME consortium is looking forward to engage with entities interested in performing drone operations.
