CAMPAIGNers - Let's change Climate Change together!

The EU-funded Project CAMPAIGNERS launched a phone app to help users keep track and analyse their CO₂ savings in real time. The app offers inspiring, daily individual challenges to contribute to reduce our carbon footprint and support climate neutrality. 

The app provides users with a great variety of ideas on daily changes that can make their lifestyle more climate-friendly, such as: making today a vegan day, living plastic-free for a week, shopping smarter with a rented cargo bike, etc.

Group chats and other social media functionalities give users the opportunity to share experiences with others, draw inspiration and invite friends to join challenges. 

The app started off connecting Climate Campaigners living in 13 cities and it is now live worldwide!

The project started in May 2021. It is carried out by 30 institutions from 16 different countries that share a common goal - working together towards engaging and supporting citizens who want to join in and become #ClimateCampaigners. The project aims to be the mechanism for citizen-driven change in a way that is fully immersed in behavioural research and integrated with local, national and EU level policy goals. 

Achieving the Climate neutrality by 2050 is a responsibility of everyone and reach at least 55% emission cuts by 2030 is a joint effort from all. Citizens, politicians and scientists must work together hand in hand to fight climate change. The EU-funded H2020 CAMPAIGNers project aims to revolutionise the way lifestyle transformation research is conducted and how it informs policies.
