Join the community and make your work visible!
Yes, communication plays an important role in making sure your project has a lasting impact! That's why communicating your project results is a requirement under virtually all EU programmes.
With the right strategic communication you will attract the interest of those who could benefit from your work – be it local or regional authorities, national governments, potential business partners or the research community.
Wondering how to include communication actions in your proposal for funding and how to set up a communication strategy? Check our #CommsWorkout webinar and FAQs.
This toolkit is for projects funded through one of our programmes: we want to help you make the most of your communication efforts. Our ultimate aim is to form a strong community of project partners, experts and investors who will exchange experiences, learn from each other and form new partnerships.
Here's how to join the community in four simple steps:
Proudly display EU support
All European projects shall use the European emblem (flag) to acknowledge the support received under EU programmes.
The emblem shall be associated to a sentence. The most standard one is 'Co-funded by the European Union'. You can also be more specific and indicate the name of the programme your project has received funding from: Horizon 2020, LIFE, COSME or EMFF. You will find some guidelines in your grant agreement.
It should look something like this (whenever feasible):
Eu funding or Co-funded
EU funding project
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No [number]
EU Co-funded project
Co-funded by the Horizon 2020 programme of the European Union
The European emblem can be downloaded from the Europa website.
The typeface to be used in conjunction with the EU emblem can be any of the following: Arial, Calibri, Garamond, Trebuchet, Tahoma, Verdana.
Please do not use the European Commission's logo!
More information is available in the European Commission's guidelines for beneficiaries and other third parties.
Pre-designed banners in your language:
- Horizon 2020 in PNG or Adobe Illustrator
- COSME in JPG
- European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) in PNG or Adobe Illustrator
