Background

Horizon Europe is the new EU framework programme for research and innovation which succeeds Horizon 2020. Under Horizon Europe, Energy, Climate Action, and Mobility research actions are grouped into Cluster 5.

The overarching driver for this cluster is to accelerate the twin green and digital transitions and associated transformation of our economy, industry and society with a view to achieving climate neutrality in Europe by 2050.

The EU Commission adopted the main work programme of Horizon Europe for the period 2021-2022.
