CINEA's H2020 Energy SHIP2FAIR project has recently won a Go!ODS Award from the UN Global Compact Spain and Rafael del Pino Foundation for its use of solar heat renewables to decarbonise  agrofood industry.

The Go!ODS Awards distinguish projects and innovations with the capacity for impact that contribute to the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. These global goals, adopted by the UN General Assembly on 25 September 2015, set out the specific targets to be achieved over the next decade to ensure prosperity for all as part of a new Sustainable Development Agenda.

SHIP2FAIR is a project developed by 15 partners from all over Europe with nearly 8 million EUR in EU funding which started in 2018 and will finish in 2023. SHIP2FAIR stands for Solar Heat for Industrial Process (SHIP) towards Food and Agro Industries commitment in Renewables (FAIR). The project aims to foster the integration of solar heat in industrial processes of the agro–food industry, which is the largest manufacturing sector and the leading employer in the EU.
