EUCAD2021

Are you interested in the latest developments and future perspectives of automated mobility? Then, you cannot miss the third edition of the European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving (EUCAD2021), which will take place online from 20 to 22 April 2021. The three-day event will explore the way forward towards the implementation of Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM). It will also feature debates on the upcoming CCAM Partnership, and the role of R&I.

EUCAD 2021 brings together political leaders from the European Commission and Member States with high-level representatives of industry, knowledge institutes and road authorities to exchange knowledge and experience on the most recent technological developments and policies in the area of CCAM.

CINEA’s director, Dirk Beckers, will give a keynote speech at the Plenary Session 2 (‘Automated Road Transport: from Horizon 2020 to Horizon Europe’) on 20 April at 13:00, focussing on the results of the Horizon 2020 calls and projects in the area of Automated Road Transport. He will also discuss the role of CINEA (European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency) in the implementation of the new Horizon Europe programme, and the possible synergies with other EU programmes.

The conference will also host a virtual exhibition throughout the event presenting a large number of Horizon 2020 and CEF Transport projects funded by the EU and managed by CINEA. These projects have contributed with significant research actions to advance key technologies for innovative connected and automated driving functions and applications, particularly through demonstrations and pilot tests that explore the performance, safety and user acceptance of these systems.
