€99 million available for funding your project ideas for the Clean Energy Transition

The LIFE CET Call for Proposals 2023 is inviting stakeholders actively working on accelerating the clean energy transition and decarbonising Europe to submit their project ideas.

The LIFE Clean Energy Transition Call 2023 has 13 funding topics covering important aspects of driving forward the clean energy transition.

The following topics are open for applications of at least one applicant or by applicants from a single eligible country:

• BUILD UP Skills – Upskilling and reskilling interventions enabling a decarbonised building stock and energy system integrationEN•••
• Integrated services for clean energy transition in buildings and businessesEN•••
• Project Development Assistance for sustainable energy investmentsEN•••

For the topics listed below, applicants need to create a consortium of at least 3 applicants from 3 different eligible countries:

• Technical support to clean energy transition plans and strategies in municipalities and regions EN•••
• Towards an effective implementation of key legislation in the field of sustainable energy EN•••
• Maximizing use of and valorising EPREL data through innovative applicationsEN•••
• Energy Performance of Buildings - Creating the conditions to make renovation faster, deeper, smarter, service and data-drivenEN•••
• Supporting the clean energy transition of the European businessesEN•••
• Crowding in private financeEN•••
• Alleviating household energy poverty and vulnerability in EuropeEN•••
• European Energy Communities FacilityEN•••
• Boosting heat pump deployment through alternative models and skilled installersEN•••
• District heating and cooling: Enabling modernisation and fuel switch through support for investment plans and skills developmentEN•••

LIFE Clean Energy Transition supports all selected projects under the Call 2023 with 95% of their project costs.  

Project ideas need to fit into the topic scopes and applicants should read the topic description carefully.

On 1 June 2023, CINEA organised a special information session on the call for LIFE 2023 Clean energy transition. This included general guidance to potential applicants and dedicated sessions for the 13 funding topics. Recording of these sessions are available for interested parties on the CINEA website.
