This year’s central theme was ‘Sustainable blue economy for green recovery’
The LIFE Programme and the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) featured prominently:
Reverse pitching session – CINEA funding opportunities for the blue economy
LIFE’s contribution to maritime-related issues since 1992 were presented. Potential new applicants learned about the LIFE 22 Calls for proposals.
Stakeholder workshop - The role of ports in the context of the European Green Deal: concrete results from EU projects
Both LIFE and other EU funded programmes such as Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), Horizon Europe and European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) set out how their financial support can help position ports as key players in a sustainable blue economy.
CINEA stand
Conference participants had the chance to become more familiar with the LIFE Programme at the CINEA stand. They learned about upcoming funding opportunities and access thematic publications and technical factsheets on LIFE’s maritime work.
