LIFE Close-to-Market at the Congress Water Smart Economy & Society 2025

The WSES2025 Congress will bring together experts, innovators, and stakeholders to shape the future of sustainable water management. The event will spotlight cutting-edge solutions across urban water systems, desalination and industrial applications, drawing on insights from over 30 European and international case studies. Key themes will include circular water systems, climate resilience, resource recovery and the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem (WEFE) Nexus, with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, co-creation and education. 

The LIFE Programme will feature a special session focused on LIFE Close-to-Market projects centred on water innovation. The session will include a keynote speech by SEALEAU, a LIFE success story, along with pitches from five high-potential LIFE-funded projects. A panel of investors and start-up experts will provide live feedback, contributing to actionable recommendations for the European Commission to enhance the market uptake of circular water technologies.
