Description
The Connecting Europe Facility Energy programme for the 2021-2027 has been extended with a cross-border renewable energy window! This second info day will allow potential applicants to dig deeper in the understanding of this new funding opportunity and to raise practical questions in order to advance in the preparation of the project proposals.
The first part of the info day will be dedicated to the open call for preparatory studies, which was launched in September. To allow sufficient time for applicants to familiarise themselves with the instrument, the call deadline has been extended until the 1 February 2022. The open call will contribute to supporting both EU Member States and private project promoters in order to advance cooperation ideas, create momentum amongst involved stakeholders and with this generate a pipeline of cross-border renewable projects.
The second part of the info day will be dedicated to the future calls scheduled for 2022. Under the CEF cross-border renewable energy window, projects need to apply for the status before being able to apply for technical studies and works. The info day will provide a sneak preview of what will happen in 2022 when it comes to the planning of the call for status and the main requirements for projects to apply, as well as a first view on when we should expect the subsequent call for studies and works.
