Following successful tests of gas transmission between Poland and Slovakia in June, the newly constructed Gas Interconnector Poland-Slovakia (GIPS) has been inaugurated on 26 August 2022 in Strachocina (Poland).

Call under CEF Digital to boost the digitalisation of European transport and energy

CINEA has received 3 project proposals requesting EUR 470.000 of funding for preparatory studies of cross-border renewable energy projects.

EU countries have agreed on a Commission proposal to invest € 1.037 billion in 5 cross-border infrastructure projects under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for trans-European energy networks. CEF will provide financial support to 4 projects for construction and 1 study.

Smart grids are one of the 12 trans-European energy infrastructure priority corridors and areas thanks to their crucial contribution to achieve EU climate and energy targets. There are currently four smart grid project actions ongoing under CEF Energy funding. Check them out!
