For the first time, proposers were invited to submit their ideas to accelerate the market-uptake of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions under the Clean Energy Transition sub-programme, which joined the LIFE programme in 2021. The first call closed on 12th January 2022. Overall, 18 topics with a total budget of 94.5 M EUR were open in the areas of local authorities, digitalisation, innovative financing, home renovation services and citizen empowerment. Proposals will be evaluated in spring and selected projects will enjoy a 95% co-funding rate. The first batch of LIFE Clean Energy Transition projects is expected to go live in autumn 2022.
