CINEA projects supporting the EC-ESA Earth System Science initiative

Collaboration among leading European experts in the fields of aerosol and cloud research is essential to enhance our understanding of critical processes impacting global climate and society. By combining modelling and observation expertise, researchers aim to address urgent science needs and close knowledge gaps related to the Earth system's response to human actions. Through collaborative efforts with ESA’s EarthCARE mission and project AIRSENSE, and Horizon Europe projects CERTAINTY and CleanCloud, the aim is to improve climate predictions and support regional adaptation to warming temperatures, ultimately contributing to the achievement of goals outlined in the Paris Agreement.
