Call for expert evaluators for the Innovation Fund

CINEA is calling on expert evaluators and rapporteurs to evaluate proposals to be received under the new calls for proposals under the Innovation Fund. This is a unique opportunity to evaluate the most innovative and disruptive net-zero project proposals. These projects will contribute to the decarbonisation of Europe using breakthrough technologies across the European Economic Area (EEA).

We are searching for:

• technical experts with in-depth knowledge in one or more of the categories covered by the Innovation Fund, with extensive project implementation experience;
• GHG experts in greenhouse gas emissions avoidance assessment or product, process, or service Life Cycle Assessment;
• financial experts in investment banking, project development and/or financial consultancy, with experience in corporate or project finance including due-diligence, bankability, and risk analysis of projects;
• rapporteurs with proficiency level of oral and written English. Preferably already possessing experience in the role of a rapporteur for any EU funding programmes or for other funds.

Indicative effort required: 2-3 weeks per year (flexible working time, dependent on number of projects).

The Innovation Fund has become one of the world’s largest funding programmes for the deployment of net-zero and innovative technologies, funded by the EU Emissions Trading System from the auctioning of 530 million allowances from 2020 to 2030.
