This year’s edition of the European Maritime Day (EMD) will take place in Svendborg (Denmark) on 30 and 31 May 2024.
The EMD is the place where ‘Ocean Leaders Meet’. It provides an inspiring framework to discuss the latest developments in the blue economy and the marine environment. The EMD boasts inspirational speeches, thematic sessions, workshops, pitching sessions, an Awards Ceremony and more.

Description
CINEA will participate with a European Stand where visitors were able to learn more about the European funding opportunities and initiatives in the blue economy. Several project beneficiaries will present their innovative results at the Stand.
CINEA will also organise the following workshop and pitching sessions:
- Workshop - Synergies by design: Promoting cooperation to accelerate the energy transition in fisheries and aquaculture – 30 May from 13:30 to 14:45 (CEST)
- Pitch Session 2 - Fishers of the future – 30 May from 14:00 to 14:45 (CEST)
- Pitch Session 4 - Supporting the Greening of the Maritime Sector: Project examples from CINEA managed programmes in Denmark – 30 May from 16:45 to 17:30 (CEST)
- Pitch Session 7 - Advancing Blue careers for a sustainable blue economy: Innovative Approaches – 31 May from 11:45 to 12:30 (CEST)
Businesses, governments, public institutions, NGOs, academia and EU citizens interested in the sea are invited to take part in the numerous activities organised during the two-day conference.
