On 5 July 2024, CINEA organised an Info Day on the call for proposals on a Pilot project: Saving our Seas – Reducing the danger of munitions dumped in European seas. The call for proposals is open until 21 November 2024 with a budget of € 5.59 million.

The call for proposals aims to build on EU initiatives to deal with chemical and explosive munitions that are currently dumped in EU sea basins. It seeks to support a project that will develop the most environmentally friendly, comprehensive and efficient technologies and methods for the removal, disposal and/or neutralisation of munitions dumped at sea.

The project should include testing new and/or improved technologies and methods in the Baltic Sea, as well as supporting stakeholder access to them, and their transfer to other European sea basins.

The Info Day was an opportunity for interested applicants to obtain more information on the objectives of the call, conditions to apply as well as obtain some guidance on how to prepare their proposal.

You can find the presentations and the recording on the webpage. More guidance and the Q&A can be found in the Funding and & Tenders portal.
