The European Week of Regions and Cities took place from 11 – 14 October. #EURegionsWeek is the largest Brussels-based event dedicated to regional policy. On the 12th, a virtual workshop looked at how the LIFE programme helped public authorities to make the green transition.

Public authorities should support the green transition by having a green, inclusive and fair governance process.
The Green transition: LIFE supports public authorities workshop discussed the main challenges impacting the adoption of EU environmental legislation at local and regional levels. It also presented how LIFE funding can support this process through its Strategic Integrated Projects and Strategic Nature Projects. And it aimed to inspire potential Call applicants by providing expert tips on writing a winning LIFE proposal.
Also, this workshop featured several LIFE-funded projects that supported the implementation of EU environmental legislation.
