CINEA at the Shipbuilding, Machinery and Marine Technology Trade Fair

With over 2,000 exhibitors and about 40,000 visitors from all over the world, SMM (Shipbuilding, Machinery and Marine Technology trade fair) continues to cement its position as the most important event in the maritime industry calendar.

Taking place in Hamburg every two years, SMM offers a perfect stage for gathering insights, networking, cementing business deals and contributing to debates with the thought leaders in this sector. 

Under the overall heading, “Driving the Maritime Transition”, key topics this year include innovation, smart technologies, energy efficiency and sustainability, digitalisation and security, and much more... 

Several European Commission departments and services – DG Research & Innovation (RTD), DG Mobility and Transport (MOVE), DG Internal Market, Industry and Entrepreneurship (GROW) and the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) - will manage a large stand showcasing the EU’s policies, funding opportunities and project achievements in the maritime sector.
