We are pleased to announce that the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) and the European Commission’s Directorate General for Energy will be hosting a joint session on 27 October at 11.00 CET as part of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) Policy Conference on “Research for Policy: Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Buildings”.
The session will bring together policy makers, representatives of the academic world, businesses and industries, to take stock on best practices (H2020) and discuss perspectives (Horizon Europe) on contribution of R&I to policy making and implementation, in the light of relevant EU priorities and objectives (2050 climate neutrality, energy transition and digitalisation, European Green Deal, Renovation Wave, New European Bauhaus).

Περιγραφή

The aim of the session is to bring together different perspectives on the contribution of research and innovations actions for effective making and implementation of EU policies, in the field of energy efficiency and sustainable buildings.
The session will include a first part dedicated to short presentations and interviews covering the policy context and EU priorities, R&I on energy efficiency and sustainable buildings in Horizon Europe, and a specific highlight on the ‘Built4People’ Horizon Europe R&I partnership. Then the second part will be a panel to discuss interactively concrete ways for research to effectively support the policy work.
The set-up will allow the audience to interact through polls and Q&A.
This session is relevant to anyone with an interest in energy efficiency, sustainability and buildings, R&I and policies, from any perspective (citizens, NGOs, policy stakeholder, academics, business and industry). The session aims to be an opportunity for crossing points of view, therefore bringing together the broadest audience will contribute to its success.
