The workshop, organised by the Steps for LIFE project and approved by the European Commission to enhance transnational collaboration, knowledge sharing, and replicable methodologies, centres on the multifunctionality of Green Infrastructure. The Camino Lebaniego Foundation showcased its successful actions, followed by the Danish LIFE BioScape project’s presentation on biodiversity in large spaces.
The botanist Bernabé Moya discussed the management of old trees and their ecosystem importance, while Carlos Caballero from the Spanish Herpetology Association addressed conservation measures for amphibians and reptiles.
The workshop concluded with presentations on the ecosystemic approach to landscape via Green Infrastructure and an overview of the LIFE Serras do Porto project.
