Modernising the port of Gdańsk

The project focuses on the expansion and modernisation of the port of Gdansk so that it may handle larger ships and, as a consequence, more cargo.

The main body of water inside the port will be widened and made deeper through dredging to ensure access and manoeuvring possibilities for larger ships and increase navigation safety. Several quays will also be modernised.

As a consequence, the port's cargo handling capacity will be considerably improved and a key bottleneck will be removed. Furthermore, navigation inside the port will be made safer despite the increase in size and number of the ship calling.
