Study on the macro-economic impacts of the climate transition

This report aims to examine the challenges and risks facing the EU and its Member States (MSs) regarding frictions in the labour market and the adaptation of the workforce’s skill set to meet the demands of the climate transition.

The study provides an assessment of the ecosystem services of bivalve mollusc farming and fish farming in ponds and wetlands, and challenges and opportunities in promoting the benefits.

The study started in December 2022, having as main goal to enhance quality checks and data validation processes, while also organising technical training sessions to allow experts involved in EU Data Collection Framework to familiarise and use the quality check tools before data submission.

This study stresses the importance of investing in coastal protection and defence to mitigate the impact of climate change in coastal areas.
