Relevance of the use and overall impact on juvenile tuna and the environment: final report

The overall aim of this project is to gather detailed information on the tuna fisheries using Anchored Fish Aggregating Devices by mapping their distribution globally and with specific focus on the Indian Ocean; studying the potential impacts of these fisheries on the behaviour of tunas and quantify their impact on juvenile tunas; characterising the social-economic dimension of these fisheries and evaluating the extent to which Anchored Fish Aggregating Devices are contributing to non-tuna targeted fisheries.
