Floating Offshore Wind in the EU

The specific objective of this study is to provide a detailed overview of the floating wind sector in the EU, with regards to economic aspects and EU climate policy. The study contains (1) a reminder of floating wind technical characteristics, (2) a state of play of projects, of costs in a floating wind project and of actors involved in projects, (3) perspectives on future deployment and material challenges for scaling-up and (4) an overview of the floating wind contribution to reducing GHG transition in regard to LCA, deployment and industrial transition.
