Evaluation of LIFE from 1996 to 2006 - Part 1

The LIFE Unit has commissioned an independent evaluation of the LIFE Programme covering the period 1996 to 2006. The evaluation focused on assessing the effect of the LIFE Programme on Europe's nature and environment through evaluating results and impacts of LIFE projects implemented under the Nature and Environment components. The final evaluation report comprises six parts: 1. Methodology and description of the LIFE Programme and its policy context; 2. Evaluation of programme management; 3. Country-by-country analysis; 4. Thematic analysis; 5. Evaluation of LIFE-Third Countries; and 6. Overall conclusions and recommendations.
