Against a backdrop of geopolitical uncertainty and rapidly evolving industrial policies worldwide, the session will assess whether Europe’s regulatory stability, climate ambition and public funding instruments can become decisive advantages in advancing climate neutrality and industrial competitiveness. 

Speakers from international institutions, industry, and private and public finance will discuss how policy frameworks, market signals and international developments shape investment decisions and what is needed to ensure Europe remains an attractive destination for clean industrial projects.

Discover the innovative clean technologies of two Innovation Fund projects. 

14:30 - 15:30 | Mobilising private investment and bridging financing

This panel discussion focuses on financing clean technology projects and the concrete steps required to reach financial close. It will examine how specific risks - technology, construction, revenue and policy are assessed, priced and allocated in real investment decisions. 

Panelists will discuss the use of de-risking tools and blended finance structures, including the role of public funding in improving project bankability. Perspectives from public and private banks focused on Europe and beyond will illustrate how deals are structured in practice.
