The European Commission is set to fund twelve new innovative Strategic Projects across Europe, investing over €233 million.

Many EU-funded projects and initiatives will take part in the poster exhibition on 6 March during the event “Where next for Europe’s Seas” at the EU Ocean Days. The projects will showcase inspiring solutions to the major challenges faced by the ocean and the coastal areas.

The Research and Innovation Week (R&I Week) will take place between 18 and 21 March 2024 both, online and physically in Tour & Taxis (Brussels, Belgium).

Czechia is no stranger to the catastrophic impacts of climate change, including floods and drought. LIFE WILL aims to tackle both by reviving a natural, centuries-old approach to managing water resources.  

From cheese production to shoes, 13 LIFE and 8 non-LIFE projects participated in the Networking Meeting – LIFE and the PEF with the European Commission, to discuss best practices and challenges related to the PEF method. 

In Europe, cows and sheep diets mainly consist of imported soybean products. But a LIFE project is turning spent coffee grounds into livestock feed as a more environmentally friendly option.  

With more than 650 events across Europe, World Wetlands Day is one of the biggest celebrations of nature in the calendar - and two current LIFE projects are making a splash! 

City living improves dramatically when communities reconnect with nature. All over the EU, LIFE projects involve residents in designing and building cities with more green spaces, fewer hot spots, and accessible public transport.
