It’s an exciting week for LIFE, the EU’s flagship initiative for funding environmental and climate actions, which this week celebrates 32 years of funding more than 6,000 ground-breaking projects for a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Europe.

On 15 May 2014, the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) Regulation was adopted, introducing direct funding opportunities in the sustainable blue economy through calls for proposals and calls for tenders. This year, CINEA will be celebrating the great achievements of the fund.

When Spain’s River Ebro floods, it causes massive damage to agriculture, livestock, infrastructure, and towns in its wake. Climate change is only making extreme flooding more prevalent. A LIFE project is slowing the river’s flow.
CINEA has updated the Transparency Platform with all the new data coming from the first Union list of Projects of Common Interest (PCIs) and Projects of Mutual Interest (PMIs).
