Today the European Commission launched a new call for tender for a study on flag State responsibilities and “open registers” for vessels registration. The call has a budget of EUR 400,000 and is funded under the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF).

Last week CINEA took part in the European Maritime Day 2023 in Brest, France to discuss funding opportunities and giving the possibility to some remarkable EU-funded projects to present their contribution for a sustainable blue economy.

Following the call for proposals on Women in Blue Economy, CINEA has awarded EU grants to two projects with the objective of bridging the gender gap in the blue economy. The projects, funded under the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF), kicked off on 1 May.
