Together in Action 2026: CINEA at the Climate Action Village!

This year, more than 800 participants came to Brussels and had the opportunity to explore a wide range of community and EU initiatives at the Climate Action Village.

The European Climate Pact’s annual event Together in Action 2026 wrapped up last week with through discussions, community-led sessions and creative exchanges, Together in Action 2026 showed how people, policy and collaboration are driving Europe’s climate progress.

The programme featured nearly 150 speakers from 25 EU countries, including 80 Pact community speakers, bringing together diverse perspectives and experiences from across Europe. Many more joined the livestreamed and online sessions, extending the conversation beyond Brussels.

The Climate Action Village showcased impactful EU initiatives and innovative projects from across the Pact community, giving participants the chance to explore practical solutions and connect with others driving meaningful change.

CINEA was present with its own stand featuring some of its funded projects, notably:

  • The A Coruña University Hospital Complex (CHUAC) project, funded by the Public Sector Loan Facility (PSLF) under the Just Transition Mechanism (JTM)
  • The Re-MXP project supporting resilience in the Italian airport of Milano Malpensa supported by the CEF Transport programme
  • The CROPS4LIFE project - Towards the decarbonisation of the agri-food system in Vitoria-Gasteiz funded by the LIFE programme
  • The LIFE Wetlands4Cities project to support wetlands under the LIFE programme
  • The Shore project, funded under Horizon Europe Climate, which aims to engage students, teachers and schools in the Baltic, Black and Mediterranean seas, and Danube and Rhine River areas, increasing awareness throught community activities, workshops and exhibitions.
  • The BlueLightS project which aims to increase the incorporation of blue challenges into school curricula, also funded under Horizon Europe Climate
