Are you interested in the societal dimension of technological developments applied to Climate, Energy and/or Mobility fields? Or in bringing more of society into research and innovation?
Are you keen on contributing to improving the responsiveness to societal needs and concerns as regards R&I processes in these fields?
If you said yes to those questions and you have the appropriate expertise, then become an evaluator for the Horizon Europe programme!
The European Commission is currently looking for excellent, well-informed academic minds coming from the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) research community to help evaluate project ideas submitted to calls open in 2025 under Horizon Europe (the current EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation 2021-2027) applied to the field of Climate, Energy and Mobility in particular.
SSH researchers with interests and expertise related to the societal dimension of technological developments will be chosen to review topics dealing with e.g., ethical, cultural, governance or sociological aspects of climate change, energy demand and use, or transport and mobility issues.
To know more on what it entails to be an expert please check the dedicated webpage.
If you are interested in taking part as an SSH expert, please first register in the European Commission's expert database and then fill in the form (both steps are mandatory) by 4 October.
Please note that proposal evaluations will take place in the second half of 2025 (dates to be confirmed) and will be in fully remote format. The evaluation session will include a briefing, individual evaluations and remote consensus meetings.
Only those experts identified as suitable will be contacted at a later stage to check availability for the evaluation dates.
