On 30 May took place the policy talk “Tipping points in the Earth’s Climate” organised by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) together with three Horizon 2020 projects managed by the agency: Tipping Points in the Earth System (TiPES), Our Common Future Ocean in the Earth System (COMFORT), and Tipping Points in Antarctic Climate Components (TiPACCs).
The policy talk aimed at presenting the latest findings on the tipping points and the potential for abrupt transition of climate systems, allowing identifying the most urgent knowledge gaps from the three projects, and presenting some recommendations in a policy brief.
Check the recording of the event and read the policy brief to see what leading scientists and projects suggest as key messages to policy makers.
