The European Commission launched calls for proposals under Horizon Europe's Work Programme for 2023-2024 Cluster 5 – which groups together topics on Climate Action, Energy and Mobility.

A total of EUR 92 million of EU funding available under HORIZON-CL5-2024-D2-01 call for 5 cross-sectoral solutions for the climate transition topics and a total of EUR 36 million of EU funding under HORIZON-CL5-2024-D4-01 call for 3 efficient, sustainable and inclusive energy use topics both opened on 7 December 2023.

HORIZON-CL5-2024-D2-01. 119 proposals were submitted within the deadline of 18 April 2024 with 117 proposals evaluated and 19 projects selected. Grant Agreement signatures are expected to be signed in December and projects to start in January 2025. More information on the successful projects will become available on cordis once the grants have been signed.

Horizon Europe is the EU’s key funding programme for research and innovation with a total budget of €95.5 billion. Under Horizon Europe, Energy, Climate Action, and Mobility research actions are grouped into Cluster 5.
