The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) is organising this year’s edition of EU’s flagship event for clean energy and renewables, the European Sustainable Energy Week

EUSEW 2022 ‘Going green and digital for Europe’s energy transition’

After two years as a fully virtual event, the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is back in a new hybrid format, with speakers and participants attending in Brussels and online. Registrations are now open for onsite and online attendance, with limited spaces for in-person participation: book now to guarantee your spot!  Under the theme “Going green and digital for Europe’s energy transition”, the event will take place from 26 to 30 September.

CINEA will be widely present with a physical  and online stand as well as five sessions on:

How you can make use of the public sector loan facility under the Just Transition Mechanism,
on Wednesday 21 September from 10.30 to 12.00.

The session will promote the Public Sector Loan Facility as one of the possible financing available for fair energy transition.
 

REPower the EU - mobilising investments and citizens empowerment,
on Wednesday 28 September from 09.30 to 11.00

This session will feature EU funded project results notably on:

  • Support citizens and energy communities to take an active role in the clean energy transition
  • Support to finance and implement energy efficiency and sustainable energy projects, notably in cities
  • Make energy efficiency, sustainable energy and home renovation projects more attractive to private investors
     

Fast-tracking defence energy transition and autonomy,
on Wednesday 28 September from 11.30 to 13.00

This session will discuss the importance for the defence sector to advance climate-proofing, apply resilient, clean sustainable models, and improve its       green credentials while safeguarding operational effectiveness.
 

Any way the wind blows: EU regulation and funding to support offshore wind,
on Wednesday 28 September from 16.30 to 18.00

This session touches upon the offshore provisions of the revised TEN-E Regulation from various perspectives: the Commission, Member States, industry, and TSO.
 

Challenges for decarbonising EU industries,
on Thursday 29 September from 16.00 to 17.30

This session will tackle how the European energy intensive industry can become a front-runner of decarbonisation through scaling-up green tech solutions.
