CINEA at ENLIT Europe 2022

Helping solve the most pressing issues in energy.

ENLIT 2022

ENLIT Europe is one of the biggest industry fairs and conferences in the area of energy in Europe that addresses every aspect of the energy agenda. The event hosted over 18,000 visitors, 700 international exhibitors, more than 250 international utilities, 14 country pavilions, 113 countries. Energy professionals from around the globe – but with a strong focus on Europe – come together to collaborate, network and innovate to solve the most pressing issues in energy.

The EU funded R&I projects were featured in the EU Project Zone. It hosted 55 projects managed by different EU services. CINEA was heavily represented with 42 projects funded by different EU programmes: Horizon2020, Horizon Europe, Life and CEF. Each project had its own exhibition space and pitched their vision and results to the audience in dedicated hubs.

The hubs also hosted several sessions with focus on the digitalisation of the energy system, such as the presentation of the recently published Digitalisation of the Energy Action Plan, a workshop on the interoperability in and beyond the Energy Data Space or a session of the digital twin of the European Electricity system. The current energy crisis featured prominently and prompted a debate on how R&I actions could respond to the emergency by scaling up innovative solutions, and ensuring their market uptake. The 4 BRIDGE working groups presented their current state-of-play and ETIP SNET presented recent white papers and the R&I Implementation Plan 2022-2025.
