World Circular Economy Forum 2024

From 15 to 18 April, the LIFE Programme will participate to the World Circular Economy Forum 2024 set to take place in Brussels, Belgium. The event will serve as an important platform advocating for a global transition to a circular economy.

WCEF24

WCEF2024 is dedicated to showcase the most impactful circular economy solutions worldwide, with participation from global business leaders, policymakers and experts. WCEF2024 has collaborated with the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Conference 2024 (ECESC), adding a dedicated track to the forum that highlights Europe's progress. Furthermore, the forum includes a full-day programme on 17 April, curated by the Belgian EU presidency team. This programme encompasses site visits to circular economy companies in Belgium.

The LIFE Programme will be actively present at the event, participating in a shared stand alongside other programmes and initiatives, such as the Innovation Council and Horizon Europe. The following LIFE projects will participate in the event:

  • LIFE Waste to Resources IP / Waste To Resources Latvia - boosting regional sustainability and circularity (LIFE20 IPE/LV/000014)
  • LIFE-IP Cmartlife (LIFE19 IPE/BE/000008)
  • LIFE PlasPLUS / Recycling of high-quality secondary thermoplastics and critical raw materials coming from mixed WEEE and EoL (LIFE18 ENV/BE/000368)

The complete forum’s agenda is available here, and the event will be live-streamed online, making it accessible to a global audience.
