TEDS24, a free event under the LIFE HI4S project, focused on advancing industrial decarbonisation by bringing together idea creators, technology developers, industry professionals, and policymakers to explore the latest innovations in technology deployment, address challenges, and discuss future trends in the sector.
With dynamic sessions held in both English and Spanish, the event focused on strategies for decarbonising industrial thermal energy, particularly at medium to high temperatures, and highlighted technologies such as power-to-heat, solar-to-heat, waste heat recovery, and more.
Attendees gained valuable insights from industry leaders and experts on achieving decarbonisation goals, while also having the chance to network with potential partners and key industry influencers. In addition to informative discussions, a poster presentation showcase provided further opportunities to engage with cutting-edge solutions, helping to drive the future of thermal decarbonisation forward.
About LIFE HI4S
The LIFE HI4S project aims to establish an innovative and cost-effective combined heat and electricity production plant that utilises the waste heat from the off-gas of an electric arc furnace (EAF). This initiative seeks to reduce energy input by implementing thermal energy storage technologies and optimising energy balance.
