Description
At this event, participants will hear from an environmental and human rights lawyer, an expert on the state of soil in the EU, a representative from UNESCO and the FAO, as well as indigenous land guardians, farmers practising regenerative soil strategies, activists, volunteers, young people and urban soil activists.
Also, the Soil4Life Manifesto will be presented, with an expert explaining how people can use it to advocate for soil with decision-makers in their localities. This manifesto is a call to action for global leaders to protect and restore our soils.
About Soil4life
We depend on soil for food, water, energy and recreation. Soil also protects us from climate change and boosts biodiversity. Yet this precious resource continues to be degraded by human activities. The Soil4Life team has set out to improve government decisions about soil and raise awareness of its importance among farmers, professionals and the public in Italy, France and Croatia.
