SEA FOREST LIFE final conference

As the SEA FOREST LIFE project, co-funded by the LIFE Programme, nears its conclusion, a final event has been organised to celebrate this significant milestone. It will take place in Rome, Italy, on 28 November 2025.

The conference is a valuable opportunity to share the project’s results, presenting SEA FOREST LIFE’s tangible contribution to protecting the Mediterranean’s natural capital and enhancing the priority marine habitat 1120* (Posidonion oceanicae, the Posidonia oceanica seagrass meadows, a habitat of European importance) over the past seven years.

The event includes thematic sessions on tools for the conservation of habitat 1120*, conservation and restoration, and blue carbon in Europe, focusing on the role of marine and coastal ecosystems, such as seagrass meadows, in capturing and storing carbon to mitigate climate change.

Online participation is also available, with simultaneous Italian-English interpretation provided, and registration is required for all participants.
