Networking Meeting – Addressing Ammonia Emissions in Agriculture under the Revised Industrial Emissions Directive (IED 2.0)

The webinar will take place on 28 October 2025. It will highlight best practices and techniques for reducing ammonia emissions and examine support mechanisms to help the agricultural sector's transition to more sustainable practices.

Ammonia emissions are a major contributor to environmental degradation in Europe. Despite ongoing mitigation efforts, agriculture remains the dominant source of ammonia pollution in the EU, accounting for over 90% of total emissions.

To address this challenge, the revised Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) –Industrial and Livestock Rearing Emissions Directive (IED 2.0)– introduces stricter requirements for large-scale agricultural operations.

This webinar will bring together representatives from the European Commission and LIFE projects. The event will highlight best practices and techniques for reducing ammonia emissions and examine support mechanisms to help the agricultural sector's transition to more sustainable practices.
