Description
Lombardy Region and the LIFE NCP Italian Team, operating at the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, are organizing the event “LIFE A CASA LOMBARDIA: Lombardy’s experience with the LIFE Programme told to the Regions of Italy”, which was held on July 18, 2023 (from 9 am to 12 pm) at Casa della Lombardia, inside the Lombardy Region Delegation in Brussels (Place du Champ De Mars, 1/3). Attending the event remotely via a Webex connection was also possible.
The initiative's ultimate goal was to promote and incentivise the participation of legal entities historically “less involved” in the annual calls of the European LIFE Programme (and belonging, in particular, to Southern Italian Regions).
With this goal, information was disseminated about the LIFE 2021-2027 Programme and all funding opportunities for the Environment and Climate Action, and some “virtuous examples” of the many projects implemented in the territory of the Lombardy Region were shown: LIFE IP Gestire 2020 - “Nature Integrated Management to 2020” ; LIFE DOP - “Demonstrative model of circular economy Process in a high-quality dairy industry”; LIFE C4R - “Carbon 4 Retails refrigeration”; LIFE ConnectHeat - “Community engagement for clean heat”.
The main task of the Italian LIFE NCP Team is to describe the activities carried out on a daily basis to support applicants and beneficiaries and the status of LIFE implementation in Italy since 1992, as well as provide an overview of the LIFE Calls for proposals 2023 released on last 18 April 2023.
During the event were covered all the topics included in the different LIFE Subprogrammes 2021-2027 (Nature and Biodiversity, Circular Economy and Quality of Life, Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation, and Clean Energy Transition).
The event will be attended by Italian representatives in Brussels from: Regions and Autonomous Provinces, companies and business networks, various Institutions and Universities, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and the associative/cooperative sector.
