Description
The theme of this year’s forum is How the European Union is managing the legacy of lindane and HCH waste.
Hundreds of researchers, environmentalists and representatives from countries affected by the mismanagement of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) will set out their progress in reducing and eliminating pollution caused by lindane production and HCH waste.
The programme includes three days of discussions and a field trip on 24 February.
About LIFE Surfing
LIFE SURFING addresses the environmental problem of lindane contamination in Bailín, Sabiñánigo. The team is developing a practicable remediation technique for soils with non-aqueous phase liquids (DNAPL).
