LIFE platform meeting - Focus on water resilience strategy- LIFE Strategic Integrated Projects implementing River Basin Management Plans practices

The LIFE Programme funds Strategic Integrated projects (SIPs) that implement River Basin Management Plans (RBMPs), thus playing an important role in combatting the serious challenges currently faced by the water environment. Through actions such as river basin management, river restoration and flood risk prevention, LIFE-funded projects contribute to the pursuit of the European Water Resilience Strategy.

Organised by CINEA with the support of the Belgian Flemish Environment Agency and its LIFE BELINI project, this LIFE Platform meeting aims to facilitate the exchange of project experiences concerning strategies, methods and tools for implementing River Basin Management Plans (RBMPs) across Europe. The event is primarily intended for project managers and officers involved in LIFE projects, as well as policymakers with a focus on RBMPs.

The two-day event will include plenary sessions, thematic workshops and field visits. It will also provide opportunities for networking and for proposing priorities for future LIFE projects.
