Description
The LIFE ENRICH team has demonstrated a business model for the recovery of nutrients from wastewater and their use as fertilisers for agriculture.
The event will bring together a variety of stakeholders from different countries to discuss key challenges and solutions related to nutrient recovery from wastewater. Legislation will also be a key topic. Current legislation only addresses the use of struvite as a fertiliser for agriculture.
LIFE ENRICH says that future legislation should aim to address the use of ammonium salts as fertilisers for agriculture as well, as they were proved equally safe within the project.
