LIFE Coast Adapt – Final Conference

The event is a two-day conference that showcases the results and experiences of the LIFE Coast Adapt project, which tested different methods of using natural materials and processes to protect the coast from erosion. On the first day of the event, 8 November, participants will get a chance to visit some of the project’s sites in Skåne, Sweden by embarking on a bus tour.  

The bus tour will go as follows: 

• 8:20 am: The bus will be outside BWA Arena Hotel, Hyllie. 

• 8:30 am: The bus will leave. 

• 9:40 am: Arrival in Ystad, Saltsjöbaden 

• 10:45 am: Departure from Ystad 

• 11:45 am: Arrival in Lomma/Bjärred for lunch (at own cost) 

• 12.45 pm: Departure from lunch venue Bjärred 

• 1:00 pm: Arriving at the site in Bjärred 

• 1:25 pm: Departure from Bjärred 

• 2:00 pm: Arrival Helsingborg/Fortuna 

• 3:00 pm: Departure from Helsingborg back to Hyllie, Malmö 

On the second day of the event, 9 November, participants will partake in discussions with experts and stakeholders. The day will start with coffee at 8:30 am at the BWA Arena Hotel in Hyllie, followed by an introduction to LIFE Coast Adapt and nature-based solutions from 9 am to 11:10 am. After that, there will be panel discussions with experts from 11:45 am. Lunch will be provided. 

The event is free of charge and open to anyone interested in learning more about coastal adaptation.
