This online capacity-building workshop is designed for regional and municipal representatives, as well as waste management professionals, looking to improve bio-waste management systems. Participants will gain insights into key contextual factors influencing bio-waste management, explore tailored recommendations for more effective strategies and learn about comprehensive decision-making support tools. The workshop will cover recommendations from the LIFE BIOBEST Assessment Matrix, self-assessment checklists and the Decision Support Tree designed for local and regional authorities. Additionally, attendees will receive a guided walkthrough of the LIFE BIOBEST Decision Support Web Tool to help model and evaluate bio-waste management scenarios.
With a focus on optimising municipal bio-waste collection systems, this interactive session offers a valuable opportunity to enhance decision-making and improve waste management practices. To encourage meaningful discussions, participation is limited to 40 attendees. Those who register will receive self-assessment checklists for voluntary completion before the event.
